Higher education improves an individual’s quality of life. Compared to high school graduates, college graduates have longer lifespans, better access to health care, greater economic stability and security, more prestigious employment and greater job satisfaction, less dependency on government assistance, greater knowledge of government, greater community service and leadership, more self-confidence, and less criminal activity and incarceration. In addition, college graduates supposably have greater use of security, more continuing education, greater Internet access, greater attendance at live performances, more opportunities opportunity, artistic activities, and higher voting rates. Also, with a higher education, individuals will be able to expand their knowledge and skills, express their thoughts clearly in speech and in writing, grasp abstract concepts and theories, and increase their understanding of the world and their community.

School can be difficult and there are many obstacles that can make the students have the idea of stop getting an education. About a third of the youth that was being  interviewed was called “slow faders.” They started having problems in late elementary and early middle school, started skipping in middle school, and by high school moved into no longer skipping a period but missing many periods of school.

This will contribute to the purpose of the research because it will show what makes the youth decide until when they feel the need of being educated. Also what made them take the decision of only having that level of education.

Education is not only theories that people learn is also the experiences and how that education can be applied in an individual’s future. The fact that college atmosphere is in itself special, students can hope for one or two courses that are intellectually exciting and a few friends with whom they can exercise their minds and share ideas. Education is not the only acknowledgment of subjects but skills that are developed and experiences.

This article describes how through education individuals can get more than acknowledgment but experiences that will impact them and define them as individuals. This article describes why getting an education is important not only because it helps to be aware of things but to develop other skills that would define an individual personality. Additionally, it demonstrates why there should never be such thing as deciding to stop getting an education.

Like many of the nation’s public schools, Pittsfield must contend with a high-need student population and a post-recession struggle for adequate funding. Until recently, those challenges were exacerbated by a culture of low expectations for students, say Pittsfield teachers. Educational concerns may motivate professional organizations, parents, and others to work toward particular goals. Nowadays, students are shouldering more responsibility for their own learning.

This is an example of a public school that after seeing that their students were not successful took a different measurement to help them succeed. This would allow interpreting the struggles that students go through and how the school is helping them to overcome them so they can achieve the highest level of education possible.

The most important kinds of education have nothing to do with degrees they are obtained from experience. A bachelor’s degree takes years and takes significantly away at both one’s time and money. It is costly increasingly more so with each passing year. A college degree is not always the best or only way to make money, there are other options like making a new business or becoming appendices in fields like banking to manufacturing were one can go up the ladder easily.

This article contributes to my research because it demonstrates that there are other ways to make a decent living where people don’t have to get involved in a high education. There are different ways of becoming successful without having to spend money or time getting an education. This article shows the other side of the situation where individuals chose a different path from education.
